Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York but later moving to Miami, Emac Money never envisioned himself becoming a rapper. Emac Money also known as LitGod used freestyling simply to enjoy doing something with his friends. Quickly realizing that music could be his ticket out of the streets, and a route to a successful career.
In 2016, Emac Money was arrested and spent five years behind bars, serving a lengthy sentence. Upon his release in September of 2021, he immediately went back to doing what he loves most, making music.
Emac Money style is raw and unfiltered, his lyrics are often a reflection of his own experiences growing up in poverty. Demonstrating an artist who is not afraid to speak out against oppression and to use his platform to inspire young people, helped him reach fans from all eras. His way to reach the youth routed to make positive choices and helped them stay away from drugs and gang violence.
One of the most remarkable things about Emac Money music is his ability to capture the energy and vibe of his community. His music is filled with references to his hometown, and he takes great pride in representing his city and uplifting those around him. " Money Don't Sleep" was Emac Money first mixtape, which he dropped shortly after his release from prison. The project was well received, and fans were hungry for more. Fortunately, he has been hard at work with his next project, Big Lit, which is set to drop soon.
